Curt Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2001 Nissan Xterra- Video
Today on our 2001 Nissan Xterra, we've got the Curt 20 by 60 folding cargo carrier and we're going to do a test fit on it. Now this cargo carrier has a nice kind of an expanded steel tight floor. It's got a medium hole size so you're going to get good support for smaller items but also room for dirt and debris to fall down and through. You can see the raised rail all the way around the outside it's about 5 1/2 inches tall. It's going to give us a good support for our gear that we've got loaded up and also you can see some good connection points for tie down straps. We've got a couple of reflectors on the sides and on the back. more

Today on our 2001 Nissan Xterra, we're test fitting the Curt 20" by 60" cargo carrier. This cargo carrier's for use with up to 500 pounds and it's been designed for use also with 2 inch hitches. Gives you room for dirt and debris to fall down and through but it's also going to keep your cargo plenty secure even if it's smaller items. Today on our 2014 Nissan Pathfinder, we're doing a test fit of the Carpod 23x47 Walled Cargo Carrier. That part number is M2205. It's designed to work with two-inch hitches. The first thing we're going to do is take a few measurements here. Our ground clearance is going to be first. We've got about 17 inches of clearance to the bottom here. Today on our 2012 Nissan NV-3500, we've got off the Curt 20 by 60 folding cargo carrier. We're going to test fit it and see how it kind of stacks up against the back of the vehicle here. Today on our 2012 Nissan NV3500, we've got the Curt 20" by 60" cargo carrier out. We're going to test fit it and show you how it fits with our vehicle here. Today on our 2014 Nissan Pathfinder, we're doing a test fit of the Maxxtow 48 by 21 cargo carrier. That part number is MT70422. Now, this has a 500-pound weight capacity and is designed to work with two-inch hitches. First thing we're going to do is take a few measurements which it's actually on our vehicle. Today on our 2014 Nissan Rogue Select, we're going to be doing a test fit of the Sport Rack Vista Cargo Carrier. Now this cargo carrier is going to be 20 inches wide by 60 inches long offering that expanded metal base for easy cleanability and sturdy steel construction for our 500 pound weight capacity. It's also going to have the folding shank so it tucks up against at the back of the vehicle when you don't have it in use, and it also has a 2 inch shank to attach to our receiver using a 3 1/4 inch anti rattle bolt. Now let's go ahead and start of by getting a few measurements. Our closest distance will be our first measurement from the back side of the bumper to the front side of the bracket here at about 10 1/2 inches. Overall distance that we've added to the back of the vehicle is going to be from the rear of the bumper to the back of the rack at about 38 inches, and our ground clearance at about 15 3/4 inches. Now note that if you're going to be carrying anything that's going to be heat sensitive or perishable that the exhaust on this vehicle does exit straight back on the driver side at about 24 inches. more

It's going to be 32 inches wide by 48 inches long and have a 300 pound weight capacity on this sturdy steel construction. It's also going to have that flat base so you don't have to worry about anything falling through, and it's easy to secure anything you need to. Overall this is so we've added to the back of the vehicle from the rear of the bumper to the back side of the cargo carrier, it's going to be about 39 inches. Our ground clearance, from the bottom side of the shank, it's going to be about eleven and three-quarter inches to this point here. Now let's go ahead and check our exhaust clearance here, from the back end of the exhaust tips to the front side of the cargo carrier. more

Today in our 2014 Nissan Rogue, we're going to be taking a look at the Stromberg Carlson 23x60 inch cargo carrier, part number CC-100. This cargo carrier has a 500-pound weight capacity, and as I said dimensions of 60 inches by 23 inches. To start off, we'll get a few measurements of how our cargo carrier interacts with our Rogue. The closest distance between the front of our carrier to the back of our Rogue will be about 2 1/2 inches. Then the overall distance that we've added will be about 25 inches. Our ground clearance to the bottom side of this bolt here will be about 10 1/2 inches. It looks like our exhaust exit is on the driver side, and it points downward. more

Detail K2 20x60 Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2014 Nissan Rogue- Video
Today on our 2014 Nissan Rouge, we're going to be taking a look at the K2 detailed cargo carrier part number K28CC602. This carrier has a weight capacity of 500 pounds and its dimensions are 20 in x 60 in. I'll get a few dimensions to show you how this interacts with the Rouge. Our closest distance from the back of the Rouge to the front of the carrier should be about 10 1/2 inches. Although, there is a little bit of a bump out in the shank that if you we're to go to far in to your receiver, it might make contact there, that's gonna be about 6 1/2 inches from the back of our receiver. Overall distance that we've added, its going to be about 31 1/2 inches, and the ground clearance is going to be about 12 1/2 inches. The exhaust on our Rouge exits on the driver side, and its a pretty far distance away. Just in case you're carrying anything that is heat-sensitive or perishable, its going to be about 20 inches from the front of our carrier to the tip of the exhaust. Our break-over point for the back hatch, in case you wanted to stack any items on the carrier, is going to be about 30 inches before anything would make contact with that hatch. more

Today on our 2015 Nissan Rogue we're going to be doing a test fit of the Let's Go Aero Gear Cage. This Let's Go Aero Gear Cage is going to be 48" long, 32" wide, and with its sturdy steel construction it's going to offer a 300 pound weight capacity. It's going to come with that 2" shank for you 2" receivers only as well as 7/8" anti-rattle bolt that's going to help secure it and reduce the sway, rattle, and wobble that you would normally have. Let's start off by getting a few measurements. This is going to be part number HCR222 and your closest distance will be from the back of the bumper to the front side of the rack at about 5 7/8". Overall distance that we've added to the back of the vehicle is going to be about 40" and the ground clearance at the bottom side of about 10 1/4" to the bottom side of the shank. Our exhaust does exit on the driver side and straight back so if you're going to be carrying anything that's going to be heat sensitive you're going to want to know, it's going to be about 13 1/2" before it breaks the plane of your basket. more

Let's start off by getting a few measurements. Our closest distance here in the folded-out position is going to be from this part here to the back side of the bumper, at about 8 7/8 inches. Overall distance that we've added to the back of the vehicle, from the rear of the bumper to the back of the rack, at about 37 1/4 inches, with a rear-ground clearance of about 14 3/8 inches. Let's go ahead and open up our rear hatch and see what kind of clearance we have there. As you can see, we're going to have full, unobstructed access. more

This is going to offer 20 by 60 as far as room goes, and a 500 pound weight capacity. It's been designed for use in 2" hitches. The part number on it is SR9851. Now we threw a hundred pounds on it here just to give you an idea of its stability. Really one of the strong points of the cargo carrier, it's supplied with an anti-rattle bolt so that's going to keep all that moving, or a lot of it anyway, a lot of that moving, that bouncing out of the equation as we're heading down the road so it gives us a nice stable ride. Let me get this weight off here. more

SportRack Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2014 Nissan Murano- Video
Today on our 2014 Nissan Murano, we'll be doing a test fit of the Sport Rack Vista Folding Cargo Carrier, that's part number SR9851. Its dimensions are 20 x 60 and has a nice weight capacity of 500 pounds. We can go ahead and begin our test fit by sliding the shank into the receiver of our Murano and we'll line up our pin holes. We are going to go with our second pin hole which is going to be our 5/8 pin hole. All right that looks pretty close and we'll take our included anti rattle bolt and thread that through. Now the nice thing about this anti rattle bolt it's going to help reduce the play and the rattle within our hitch and our carrier. more

As you can see, I've already got it loaded and to the hitch receiver of the vehicle. It's always good to have a helping hand, because it does weigh a little bit. For our first measurement, we're going to go with the nearest point from our bumper to our carrier. That looks to be pretty close to about 2". more
